Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Making a big life transition - especially after a successful career - can feel overwhelming. You may be wondering if coaching is the right move for you now, what the process looks like, or how to know if I am the right coach for you.

This page is designed to answer those questions and more, so you can feel confident in your decision to take the next step. If you still have questions after looking these over, I invite you to schedule a complimentary consultation to explore whether this is the right fit for you.
How do I know if you are the right coach for me?
Coaching is deeply personal, so finding the right fit makes all the difference. My approach is warm, structured and results-oriented. I work best with Gen X entrepreneurs and executives who are looking for clarity, fulfillment, and a strategic plan for what's next. If you appreciate direct yet supportive guidance, value actionable insights, and want a coach who understands both the emotional and practical sides of this transition, we could be a great match. The best way to know for sure? Book a complimentary consultation - you'll get a feel for my style and how we'd work together.
How are you different from other coaches?
Unlike career coaches who help with job searches or life coaches who provide broad personal development support, my coaching is specifically designed for Gen X entrepreneurs and executives navigating their next chapter after a successful career. This is not about finding another job - it's about designing an intentional, fulfilling encore that aligns with your ambitions, values, and lifestyle.

What sets me apart is my deep understanding of high-achieving professionals and the challenges they face in this transition. As a market research executive and business owner, I've spent decades uncovering insights that drive strategic decision-making. I bring that same structured, analytical, and results-oriented approach to coaching - empowering my clients to clarify their goals, explore possibilities they may not have considered, guide them on a path to fulfillment of their passions, and create an actionable roadmap for the future.

My process is highly customized, practical and forward-thinking - not just reflective. We don't simply talk about what's next, we use proven exercises, strategic frameworks, and personalized guidance to ensure you gain clarity, direction, and momentum.

And one additional way I differ from many coaches - our work together culminates in a customized, actionable deliverable - personalized to your aspirations, plans, and style. My goal is to help you move forward with confidence and excitement, knowing you're making the right choices for your next phase of life.
Is this the right time for coaching, or should i wait until i have more clarity?
Waiting for clarity before starting coaching is like waiting for a map before deciding where to go - coaching is the process that helps you find clarity. If you're feeling uncertain about what's next, that's actually the best time to start. Through structured conversations, exercises, and insights, we'll uncover what truly matters to you, so you can move forward with confidence instead of staying stuck in indecision.

Consider this: If you wait, will clarity come on its own, or will you be in the same place months from now, still wondering what to do next? Coaching ensures you don't waste time spinning your wheels.

Additionally, thinking you'll have perfect clarity before moving forward often leads to paralysis by analysis - you stay stuck in indecision while time passes. Coaching helps you gain that clarity faster by identifying your goals, uncovering new possibilities, and providing a framework for decision-making. If you're even considering a transition, now is the right time to start exploring it intentionally.
What if I invest in coaching and still feel uncertain?
It’s completely natural to worry about making an investment—both time and money—only to end up feeling just as uncertain as before. But here’s the difference: coaching is designed to reduce uncertainty by giving you structure, clarity, and forward momentum.

If you’re feeling unsure, it doesn’t mean you’re making the wrong choice—it means you’re in a transition that requires intentional exploration. Through our work together, we’ll break that uncertainty down into manageable pieces and uncover what’s behind it. Here’s how we address it:
  • Structured Exploration: Instead of letting your uncertainty swirl around in your mind, we’ll use proven exercises, assessments, and discussions to bring clarity to what’s truly important to you. We take the abstract and make it concrete.
  • Personalized Process: There’s no one-size-fits-all solution. We work together to create a plan that fits you—your aspirations, your values, and your personality—so you can move forward with confidence.
  • Guided Decision-Making: You don’t have to figure this out alone. Working together, we evaluate different directions, weigh options, and test possibilities so that you feel informed and empowered rather than overwhelmed.
  • Real-World Action Steps: Uncertainty often stems from inaction. Together, we create small, meaningful steps that allow you to explore potential paths before making big commitments. This helps you feel more certain about your choices over time.
  • Ongoing Adjustments: Clarity doesn’t happen in a single moment—it builds over time. That’s why our work together includes check-ins, adjustments, and refining your direction as new insights emerge. If something doesn’t feel right, we pivot. You won’t be left feeling lost.
The Bottom Line? Coaching won’t eliminate all uncertainty—because life transitions are naturally full of unknowns. But what it will do is equip you with the mindset, tools, and strategies to navigate that uncertainty with confidence. You’ll no longer feel like you’re drifting, but instead, moving forward with purpose.
What happens in a coaching session?
Each session is structured to guide you through your transition with practical tools, thought-provoking exercises, and deep conversations tailored to your unique goals. You’ll gain clarity, identify new possibilities, and develop an action plan. Along the way, I provide resources, worksheets, and assessments to support your progress.
How long does this process take?
Usually, my coaching program consists of eight sessions, although I also offer a six-session option:

• Intro Session – We explore where you are now and where you’d like to go.
• Five Core Sessions – We work through your key goals using structured exercises, discussions, and insights.
• Two Follow-Up Sessions (included in the eight session package) – These are scheduled in the months after our core work to ensure you stay on track and adjust as needed.

The pacing is flexible, but most clients complete the core sessions over a few months and use the follow-ups to refine and reinforce their plans.
I already know what I want to do next—but I don’t know how to make it happen. How does coaching help in this case?
Knowing what you want is a great starting point, but turning that vision into reality requires a clear plan, the right mindset, and the confidence to take action. Whether you’re reconnecting with a childhood passion, pursuing a long-held dream, or stepping into a completely new space, coaching helps you bridge the gap between aspiration and execution.
Through our work together, we’ll:
  • Clarify your vision—making sure your goal aligns with your values, priorities, and lifestyle.
  • Identify potential obstacles—anticipating challenges and proactively finding solutions so they don’t slow you down.
  • Develop a step-by-step roadmap—breaking your goal into achievable milestones, so progress feels manageable and motivating.
  • Leverage your existing skills and networks—helping you tap into your strengths and connections to accelerate success.
  • Ensure accountability and momentum—so you don’t get stuck in analysis paralysis or self-doubt.
By the end of our sessions, you’ll have a solid action plan and the confidence to move forward, knowing exactly what steps to take next. Coaching provides the structure, strategy, and support to make your vision a reality—without unnecessary trial and error.
